Yeah I've been checking, but I don't believe they have one up. I have emailed the state director, but he hasn't responded

For Bird Flu, it says H5N5, but it is more commonly known as H5N1
I submitted a clarification, but would like to know what you guys have noticed/interpreted

I think one's a mutation and one's not.

Well I just made a big fat binder with stuff listed in it. Taxonomy and differences between similar species are useful too though. (I'd guess at least)

Well I just made a big fat binder with stuff listed in it. Taxonomy and differences between similar species are useful too though. (I'd guess at least)

Test writers at the regional and state level are usually not experts in the field and just get their info from Wikipedia or whatever other site that first pops up on google. When compiling my binder, I think about what I would ask if I was writing a test.
Also live specimens are HIGHLY unlikely since all of these species are INVASIVE! You will most likely see pics from the internet and the likely hood is that if you've been checking out google images, you will see pics on the tests before

Does anyone know how to tell apart Ips typographus and Tomicus piniperda? Thanks, it's really bothering me!

Tomicus has a tapered head while Ips has a round best I can figure.
