So what exactly who gravity be able to due? If you had to set up this rocket for the Egg-O-Naut event how would you do it? I am just looking for ideas.
This is a great year because I will beat Owen and Saad in Egg-O-Naut and the New York Jets are a playoff team this year because Brett Farve is the Best Quarterback on the Earth. 7-3. Better and better every week. The Yankees are getting C.C. Sabbathia.

Our class launched 2 liter bottle rockets without eggs and one I designed stayed in the air for 1 minute and 25 seconds. Basically what I did was put a separate capsule in the nose cone which came out when the nose cone fell off. How would you say this time is compared to some of your rockets? Do you think I could use that kind of design for Egg-O-Naut? (Even though it would be hard to fit the egg and parachute in the nosecone.)

a minute 25 is a really good time for a bottle rocket, but you have to use 1 liter bottles for egg-o-naut this year, and that design would probably work well

launching at an angle would technically give you a longer time, but i'm almost certain that you cannot launch at an angle

The rules don't seem to be specific, but I'd assume it's going to be 90 degrees (straight up).

Launching at any other angle would just make you get a lower score anyway.

No it wouldn't. You want to maximize the y-component of the velocity, which is done by launching straight up.
