This event is easy to get but it's hard to medal in. I mean write a description then build off them not too hard right? Just make sure the partners know each other, and that they have practiced.
SO stressed!

I think with a really good system, you could medal most times, but developing that good of a system takes a lot of practice, and also, the problem is that a team can get lucky medal even if they have not practiced :x

Is scoring relative (based on how well people did compared with each other) or absolute (you put a Lego brick one place off, lose 3 points)?

i think that's what happened with my team at regioinals, as far as I know they only practiced twice, and they ended up with first place.

Each correct placement of a piece is worth 1 point. Most number of points in the fastest time wins.

I almost medaled this year... i would be one of those "lucky" people. i was assigned WIDI on the bus to the comp and i had never studied or practiced. we got a 22.5/26 and missed 3 points but i put a "w/" which is illegal if you dont write what it means (i didnt know that, never read the rules). we wouldve gotten first place but my do it partner's cell phone rang while he was recreating... automatic DQ. lesson learned the hard way, TURN OFF YOUR CELL PHONE :D

my partner was like right next to the instructor, and had his phone on vibrate. so it was somewhat noticeable. now i take the battery from his phone during comps.

I would just turn the phone OFF. It is not worth risking anything because its not like you could answer your phone even if it was on, so there really is no point
