If you're in a small state like me, Fossils is pretty easy because no one else knows much about it...

Yeah, here in Georgia (Division B) there's two good teams and a bunch of other teams aiming for third place overall (Division C is completely different; a bunch of teams appear evenly matched throughout invites, then spread apart at State).gryphaea1635 wrote:If you're in a small state like me, Fossils is pretty easy because no one else knows much about it...

In Alabama, there are two good teams. One feeds into the other so it's basically one good school. Then there is this one team at state that is confident in achieving something but goes home early because they suck that bad. Luckily for my team (the good team noted above), we don't usually have much competition at our state tournament, let alone our regional tournament. I think the invitationals are the most competition as we get to compete against the likes of FSA, Dodgen, Bearden, and some other good teams.Unome wrote:Yeah, here in Georgia (Division B) there's two good teams and a bunch of other teams aiming for third place overall (Division C is completely different; a bunch of teams appear evenly matched throughout invites, then spread apart at State).

This year our Regionals actually included Dodgen and FSA, so it was quite competitive (we both had like sub-60 point scores that were close).sciolylover13 wrote:YES!! Yeah. At our regionals the only competition was the school that we feed into. They got 1st, we got 2nd. I hear it was pretty close though. Same thing happened at state. The other teams get so excited when someone from their team gets a medal, and every time we get one, (which is like every single event) we're just like... -_-Unome wrote: This year our Regionals actually included Dodgen and FSA, so it was quite competitive (we both had like sub-60 point scores that were close).

well not never... sometimes, the event coordinators mess up the whole event... or you are just really bad at it like me in CJAP.
