As listed on the tentative event chart at http://www.soinc.org/sites/default/file ... -17-13.pdf, the tentative systems are:
  • Nervous and Integumentary for Division B; and
  • Nervous, Integumentary, and Immune for Division C.

What do you guys think about the national test?

Well, we memorized the cranial nerves, so that helped a lot, but on about 1/2 of the questions we had no idea. The real samples were cool, though. It seemed to turn into who could guess the best at the end.

Just my opinion.

In my opinion, I thought the test was challenging and fun. We had to guess on some stations because of the time limit. I was so sure I wouldn't place in the top six but I got fourth place! What do you think about the time limit?

I thought that it was fairly good, but i think that the fact that it was entirely multiple choice made the places a tossup, because you could have guessed on a lot and still done well

I'm guessing that we still have to study the nervous system and all the brainy stuff, but I'm positive that the digestive system will be kicked out. But I have no idea what other system we'll have to learn and study about. :geek:

I'm preparing for next year (the Nervous system part at least) and I was wondering if you guys knew of any semi-cheap textbooks to study with?

In terms of learning the Anatomy, the Coloring books (Anatomy Book and the Physiology Book) are fantastic.

Also, your school likely has copies of Campbell and Reece's Biology that you could borrow at no cost - these have fairly good introductions to each of the systems.

Three other books you can get cheaply if you buy the used versions are:
Moore's Essential Clinical Anatomy
BRS Gross Anatomy
Netter's Atlas of Anatomy
