Yeah, I know it's not legal by this year's rules, but I wanted to see if I could actually do anything to improve the helicopter with what I've learned since. I'm not using it in competition.

On a completely different subject, what would you consider 'flight trimming'? All I can think of is adjusting torque, balancing rotors, and shifting the CG.

there isn't much you can do with Heli. I would think it has most to do with rubber and winds, as well as clay placement.

Yeah, those three are the only things I can think of, other than slight design modifications. There aren't as many things you can easily change on a helicopter, compared to Wright Stuff planes (like the AoA, washout, angle of the tail, wing position).

since we are on the topic, has anyone made a helicopter where you can change the placement of the static motor? it seems like it could work, I am just not sure how.

I have, it's fairly complicated and not worth the time but if u'd like i'll send u pics of it.
