well, dodos are in the holocene, the LATE LATE LATE holocene (1681 if i remember correctly, gogo quizbowl)

Yes, but fossilization takes much longer than 400 years. It can't be considered a fossil unless it's been fossilized.

Just got my rules — no major changes. They added "Lagerstätten" to the "Important events and discoveries" section.
Not competing in the 2011-12 season.
