PPP: Probably 23-25 s. Pretty sure top score at UPenn was only 26 s in 35 ft ceiling (although the ceiling beams were at 20 ft), so I would be surprised to see anything more than 1.2 sec/ft.

Kind of random: but any guesses for Western Long Island Division B Regional?
I've heard that it's top 6 to states this year...

Re: New York 2020
According to the team numbers thing on the New York Scioly website (https://newyorkscioly.org/?page_id=52), it should be 6.

What scores do you think will be required for top 20 in building events?

Re: New York 2020
This could be a really big underestimate or overestimate::
Boomi: 500
Gravity: 25 points, or 20 cm
PPP: 5 seconds
Wright: 20 seconds total

Re: New York 2020
Boomi - I think top 20 is a lot closer to 1k than 500 — I would guess around 850. Top 10 is probably like 1.3kMTV<=>Operator wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 4:55 pmWhat scores for top 10?builderguy135 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 4:41 pmThis could be a really big underestimate or overestimate::

Gravity: oof don’t know that much about this one, top 10 is likely sub-15, top 20 is probably like sub-25 I guess
PPP: top 10 is 15-20s, top 20 is probably near 10s ngl
Wright: top 10 is 85+? top 20 is 30+
my expectations might be a bit high but I do think NY is around here — I’m actually scared of guessing better scores

I was on ping pong parachute for the LISO invitational, and just under 6 seconds got us 7th place.legitimately wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 5:08 pmBoomi - I think top 20 is a lot closer to 1k than 500 — I would guess around 850. I would say around 4.5 probably for top 20... don't know much about other build events though

Re: New York 2020
I noticed that after LISO, PPP got a LOT more competitive. A score that would’ve gotten us 1st at LISO got us 3rd at Columbia, a smaller and overall less competitive invy, with a similar ceiling height.snowyowl wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 6:08 pmI was on ping pong parachute for the LISO invitational, and just under 6 seconds got us 7th place.legitimately wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 5:08 pmBoomi - I think top 20 is a lot closer to 1k than 500 — I would guess around 850. Tbh if I had to guess, I’d guess top 20 will be probably be around or a little above 10, since I think scores will clump in the teens for a lot of top teams.

Re: New York 2020
Are we talking division b or division c? I was referring to division b, I also suspect that division c will be above 10.Giantpants wrote: ↑Mon Mar 02, 2020 8:54 pmI noticed that after LISO, PPP got a LOT more competitive.
