Re: Illinois 2011
I'd like to recommend our way of practicing.
We have everyone study, but mainly focus on three events for those doing the event to get a lot of practice. We change focus events each practice. It has proved successful.

Re: Illinois 2011
hmmm....care to explain a bit more?
it sounds pretty interesting...but isn't it sorta hard because you change your events each time? so you don't get a lot of time to learn each event? and if everyone is switching, isn't that confusing?

Re: Illinois 2011
You keep your own events; just different people get more attention each time. Everyone gets their events as focus events.

Re: Illinois 2011
So everybody on the team, in any given practice, is doing the same three "focus" events during the practice, and those events may happen to coincide with a person's official events? (That's how I understood your explanation...) Huh. When did you guys start doing that?

Re: Illinois 2011
No! Lets say that the focus events were Towers, Awesome Aquifers, and Forestry. Then whoever did at least one of those three events would get extra tips. Everyone else worked normally. Then the next week's events were Bottle Rocket, Food Science, and Dynamic Planet. Then whoever did at least one of those events got extra help. Whoever didn't worked normally. The focus events change each week. Near a competition, everyone gets extra help.
