GUYS. THE SASSY'S NAME HAS ONLY BEEN MENTIONED ONCE. THAT NARROWS IT DOWN TO ONE OR TWO PEOPLE.

Seriously, at this point the sassy has been giving blatant ID clues, and none of the officers are taking the bait. If you had to ruin the game, at least finish it well.

Back to the kill clue, e-doc leads to a technology site: https://edoclogic.com/. I solved 450-85304 and got -84854, and corresponded it to the alphabet, and got hdhed. The first result popped up on Google leads to a YouTube playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P ... CF687B44D6 by Wavvy101.

Also, the only "harbors" in North Carolina are on the outer banks, and both national teams from NC are in Raleigh (aka not the outer banks). If we're still sticking with the idea of sassy being from Michigan, John Richardsim has only been mentioned once. Grand Haven also has sandy beaches along the edge of Lake Michigan. Also, I don't know if I'm misremembering, but somebody made a offhanded comment about how he changed his avatar to that of the sassy's and then changed it shortly after.Assassinator wrote: Kidding. I'm not daydreamer. In fact, if I'm not mistaken, I think daydreamer is from North Carolina, a state that I've already said I'm not from, so, y'know.
ETA: When you reverse image search John's current avatar, it comes up with "Robert Miles Dreamland", which is a trance music album. Previous clues have pointed to trance music before.
I'm not sure how to approach the current clue. Since the sassy has referenced threads/posts before, I thought it could be referring to a thread again, maybe a topic with 450 replies and ~85304 views (or a forum with 450 threads and around 85000 posts). However, both of those examples fall through rather quickly.

Well then, might as well accuse the person I've been suspecting...
I accuse JohnRichardsim of being the sassy because of a lot of things I don't really feel like typing up right now, but including the stuff venules pointed out about the trance music, John being a WikiMod, him being from Michigan, and stuff that syo and SOnerd were talking about on the IRC about the meme that the sassy posted and how it connected to John.

He also is a wiki mod or something, which would explain the ability to kill mods.venules wrote:Also, the only "harbors" in North Carolina are on the outer banks, and both national teams from NC are in Raleigh (aka not the outer banks). Re: SciOly Assassination 121: Mystery Land
I had a large, cackling fire going as I refilled the Tiki torches around my campsite. Suddenly I heard Anomaly shout "Stop right there! You're coming with me!"
I turned slowly to face my accuser. "Oh no, I don't think so." Lifting the bottle of kerosene above my head, I poured the fuel down myself and reached towards the fire.
Anomaly has correctly accused John Richardsim.

BWhat do they all have the same of?
AThe Lady died with him but was not born until long after, in 1954.
Correction: A + B + [space] + [Two letters, both uppercase]
If the Lady were real, she would not have died 362 years before she was born.

Oh, well that happened. Great job, btw. Probably one of the best sassies I've seen, so I applaud you.Assassinator wrote:I had a large, cackling fire going as I refilled the Tiki torches around my campsite. Suddenly I heard Anomaly shout "Stop right there! You're coming with me!"

Re: SciOly Assassination 121: Mystery Land
That was a very well written game by John. Hats off to you!
I really wish you didn't have to practically spell out who you were, but an amazing job nonetheless. It's going to be very difficult for the next assassinator to top this game.

Re: SciOly Assassination 121: Mystery Land
Good news: I wrote explanations as I went, so here are the solutions to clues.
Clue #1:
Target: TheChiScientist
The mushrooms were alluding to the mushroom cloud in Chi’s avatar. Seeing as how it was solved before I even finished writing this explanation...I might want to try a little harder next clue.
Correct protect by: TheChiScientist
Clue #2:
Target: IvanGe
The numbers are the forum, topic, and post index numbers. You guys correctly identified it as being the A&P thread and had a list of possible posts the post ID number went to, but didn't connect those two. Also, when I replied to Chi right after saying that my school doesn’t block imgur, that wasn’t meant to be cryptic or misleading or anything, my school just actually doesn’t block it.
Clue #3:
Targets: pikachu4919 and PikaPikaChu
I’ll admit, this one is kinda tricky since it’s two targets and only 5 letters to go off of. “hicup” is an anagram for “pichu”, a pokemon that evolves into pikachu. The fact that pikachu4919 also did forestry is a happy coincidence.
As for the ID clue, “great river” alludes to the Grand River, and the “harbor” needs to be translated into “haven,” resulting in “Grand Haven.” I also made East’s post right after that as an additional hint.
Clue #4:
Target: JasperKota
I had to post this earlier than usual since I had the AP test for chem that morning. The questions are indeed Fermi Questions. The M, D, and Y are meant to help indicate month, day, and year. The answers you should get are as follows:
1.0 (raw answer: 3.9 kJ)
2.3 (raw answer: 2700 pencils)
20.15 (raw answer: 3.3E15 car-lengths)
From these answers, you were supposed to see a date of 10-23-2015. This is the date Jasper joined. The part about the test/key being online is just part of the story, not the clue.
Correct protect by: hippo9
Clue #5:
Target: Unome
If a school only let people who were over 2,000 pounds in, you could probably call it Full-ton Science Academy (I decided to change this that night because I felt that just saying “well over 1,000 pounds” was too ambiguous).
As for the ID clue, it is a video identification number for a youtube video of a song from the Need for Speed Carbon soundtrack, a game that I mention in my userpage on the wiki.
Clue #6:
Target: hippo9
This targeting was entirely because hippo9 almost had me in that scioly march madness group.
Also, the “clear blue water” is an ID clue as Alex pointed out.
Additionally, a shoutout to venules for posting that link to Warren Dunes. Although that’s not the specific one, the setting is in fact modeled after a state park on Lake Michigan (certainly not Grand Haven State Park though, since it’s literally just a big parking lot).
Clue #7:
Target: Anomaly
e-Doc is “code” backwards. Thus, the number is a production code. However, you must also read that number backwards. From there just googling should yield some Star Trek Enterprise episode entitled “Anomaly”.
As for the ID clue, the “latin” text and the Michigan motto in my signature should have set off a brainblast.
Additional stuff:
Final stats:
hippo9: 1 correct protect (clue #4), 1 incorrect accusation cast - DEAD
TheChiScientist: 1 correct protect (clue # 1), 1 incorrect accusation cast
Anomaly: 0 correct protects, 0 incorrect accusations cast - WIN
Name: 0 correct protects, 1 incorrect accusations cast
MadCow2357: 0 correct protects, 0 incorrect accusations cast
Any other questions, etc.?

Additional stuff:
I just picked people without any particular reason.Anomaly wrote:I wonder, why did the sassy choose the names of the people that he/she did in the clues?
I tend to use lots of ellipses in my casual writing. Also, another thing I like to do is use parentheses but leave the period outside even if it should be inside.allopathie wrote::P Just saying, the Sassy has a very distinct manner of speaking (or writing). A linguistic analysis would not be a bad idea. There are more than sufficient posts by the Sassy for conclusions to be made.
