Nope. I like TLOK but ATLA is better in general. However, most of the issues with Tlok boil down to issues during production, not necessarily bad writing that was intended by the actual creators.

In terms of my biggest criticisms of each series, I generally don’t like the way energy bending was thrown into Atla at the very end, and the explanations and stuff given in Beginnings (in tlok) kinda spoil the gray-area nature of morality in the Atla/Tlok universe, since prior to then Tlok especially had prided itself on even thr villains not being just evil for the sake of being evil, as they had justifications for their causes. Book 2 of Tlok overall spoiled that with Unalaq and Vaatu just being evil for the sake of evil. It was just a stumbling recovery from the end of Book 1 (which again was caused by production hurdles, not intentionally bad writing) that didn’t end well. Book 3 is the best though, i love Zaheer’s character

anyway i could ramble for a while but if you only look at the final product, Atla is slightly better in my opinion
