Re: Thermodynamics B/C
What was your heat retention Alex? Ours without bonus was around 1.9 I think.
Ice water would only need to be 38 or higher to beat this, which should be pretty easy.

Actually, our final temperature was only 34.5. It’s possible our device simply wasn’t very good (and yours definitely was).Ashernoel wrote:What was your heat retention Alex? Ours without bonus was around 1.9 I think.

Congrats on 2nd!

Lol. When you see that the team you beat at state for thermodynamics get 2nd at Nats...

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
The test at nats was over three times as long and much more difficult than at state. Even with that, though, it still was manageable under time constraints.TheChiScientist wrote:Lol. When you see that the team you beat at state for thermodynamics get 2nd at Nats...

Yeah, it was pretty hard. We didn’t come close to finishing.Ashernoel wrote:The test at nats was over three times as long and much more difficult than at state. Re: Thermodynamics B/C
Did anyone have results significantly affected by High Altitude? Something we had not accounted for

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
Ask Pikachu as she helped out with Div. B Thermo at Nats and might know.

Re: Thermodynamics B/C
The History section on the Nats test was a lot more difficult than I was expecting.
