Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
Heh...I can agree with that.
I haven't gotten past the design stage of any bridge yet, but I should.
What's everyone's opinions on designs? I'm leaning toward a traditional bridge on pillars...to start with anyway. Gotta start somewhere.

Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
So far, I've come up with two unique designs for bridges that seem to be working well. After all my testing, I'm guessing scores should go into the 2000 range (for C division) at least. However, it's early in the season, so this range might appear completely wrong after I test a few more. It's hard to get a feel for what scores will be like at this point in time.

Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
Actually, I'm interested to see how the Div B scores compare to Div C. Although Div B has easier specs and should have higher efficiencies, Div C scores might be higher because some of the builders have had years and years or experience. It's tough to say.

Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
I'd say that these scores will be pretty similar to boomilever scores but maybe a little lower.

Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
Really? I was thinking higher. But then again I haven't built any, so I don't really know.
I gotta get out and get some wood soon, my supply from last year is about depleted (only the bad pieces are left).

Re: Elevated Bridge 2009
really? boomli scores seem pretty low to me (compared with the other balsa events) if built right it seems to be a lot easyer to get a higher score.
ewww i know right all i have left are some spongy peices and you can literally make them 1/4x1/4 to 1/8x1/8 just be squeezing themandrewwski wrote:Really? I was thinking higher. But then again I haven't built any, so I don't really know.
