Write it Do it at socal was a lil' iffy during county.
We had this mobile thing. With string attached, and objects.....
Luckily, we didn't have to go build the mobile itself.

You should defiinately start with KNEX, since it is the hardest of the building toys, and once you've done it and developed a system for every possible aspect, you can write/build almost anything using the same systems. You should also practice with the other stuff, including lots of non building toys, but KNEX is very, very, very helpful.

Tinker toys are basically just an easier version of knex though in terms of writing

haven chuck wrote:We tried building one out of chairs, a table, bungee cords, a textbook and KNEX, but failed horribly in the "doing" portion. Today, we did a marshmellow/toothpick structure, which worked very well.
Don't forget, we used a hacksaw, too.

It is not complicated but in order to medal you need to develop a system that works between both partners so it can take a lot of practice.

Make sure your writer is a very structure oriented person. by that i mean he/she must think about details and describe the structure so that someone else besides themselves can put it together. its hard to imagine, i think, but everyone seems to have their own way of phrasing things and usually only the individual can understand it. thats the challenge of this event, i suppose
