Season 2013 - Site suggestions

That's not something we'd ever do. While we do sometimes struggle to find people to provide good information, the purpose of this site is fostering a love for science and Science Olympiad in its users (and guests) and we would never make it an exclusive club for only the people who can give us what we want. Some people come on here not knowing the first thing about Science Olympiad but wanting to give it a shot, and by the time their career is over they've been very successful and want to give back. So, no. We're not going to force users to make wiki edits or upload tests.

I don't know if this has been suggested, but maybe we should add a delete post feature. Because, sometimes, I accidentally post, realize I'm wrong (etc.), and then just end up leaving a period as a post.

I agree. This has happened to me in the past, sometimes in the forestry ID thread where I accidentally end up answering a question that has already been answered and confirmed, and I end up looking like a lost puppy.

Also, about making the view the latest post button bigger, I couldn't agree more. In fact, I didn't even know the button existed until five seconds ago when I read the suggestion to make it bigger.

Could we have a slightly larger avatar picture size? I don't mean as big as they allow them on hsquizbowl.org/forums/ because those are a bit ridiculous. I would just like a bit more range. Even 90 x 90 would be fine. Most of the ones that I find are just over 75 x 75. If you can't, that's fine.

The avatars that I use fit in the 75 x 75 range, it's just that they end up being a bit bigger than 6.00 KiB.

I can never get my avatars in the right size range, but the data amount is fine.

How about removing the friend/foe html since the system isn't used and confuses people.

Well, I know about that, but I'm only suggesting the subforum so we can have multiple threads so it's clear what each person is responding to, and to reduce clutter of sorts in just one thread.
And there could be serious issues where we could have mature discussions about mature topics like religion, sexism, etc.
