We talked to the event coordinator and they looked over the results today and it turned out we did get 1st place! We got 777 for our score for division B (that's relatively low but God willing, it will get better ;) ) Thank God we did good, and thanks to everyone who helped me!
A very respectable result- you should be proud. :D
Sorry to hear about the mix-up; glad that following up with the ES got it straightened out. A thing that's been done at out Regional & State competitions for a number of years now (for towers/bridges/booms) is putting things up on a blackboard in the test room - teams put their name/number in the time slot they're going to run, then structure weight, then, when they test, load carried and score get put in. Makes it an even better spectator event.

So, now the challenge is to find ways to bring the weight of your boom down. Good luck!

New to this discussion, but I was wondering what a good efficiency score is for division C? I can't seem to find any scores from past regional/state/national tournaments. I know for sure that it's pretty competitive in my state...but that's all. :|

Well I got 850-ish at the Northmont Invitational in Ohio and received 2nd place...which to be honest shocked me. My best score ever is a little below 1500, and I was majorly disappointed with 850 and figured I wouldn't even get top 3. So it's still hard to tell. Aim for 800-1000 and you should be good for most competitions.

Had my regional over the weekend. Came in 1st with a 12.6g boom holding 13.8kg so an efficiency around 1100. I hope to improve by at least 100-200 points by state time.

I'm Div C, and I got 6th at Wright State with a score of 950. That was enormously disappointing considering it would have held everything had the stupid humidity not warped it....
