Re: Music!
Try Hebrew Melody. Or the Zigeunerweisen. Those will DEFINITELY blow your mind away, just in terms of pure amazingness. I'm playing both right now, and it's like, awesomeness everywhere. But never, EVER do the Tchaikovsky. That's just self induced torture. Seriously.
Also, Paganini is driving me insane. That's something else you should never voluntarily play.

Re: Music!
If you like classical music, I strongly encourage you to look up The Fox by Ylvis.
Or even if you don't like classical music. That's cool. It's okay to not be esoteric on here.

Uh... I love love Lindsey Stirling. And some melodic dubstep like The Glitch Mob, Seven Lions, Audiomachine... Yeah. Skrillex is garbage.aim4me26 wrote:just curious, anyone here a fan of dubstep?

Re: Music!
Does anyone like the song "The Lightning Strike" by Snow Patrol? I'd highly reccommend it. It's three parts (or movements, whatever floats your boat) long, and just amazing music.

Re: Music!
Dvorak cello concerto. Hard. Anyone who has experienced the physical and mental torture of practicing those triplets knows what I am talking about.
I know a kid who is 15 and started playing Tchaikovsky a month ago, and he has the whole thing AT TEMPO.

Re: Music!
My friend and I wanted to play Fantasie Impromptu by Chopin in the talent show last year, but I decided to not participate in the talent show.
So...I like playing Mozart's Flute Concertos, Oboe Concerto, Bassoon Concerto, and Clarinet Concerto. Although I can't afford to buy an A Clarinet, so it is really awkward to play the Clarinet Concerto.
I'm really sad that Mozart didn't make a viola or cello concerto. Beautiful instruments with unique sounds.
When, what is your favorite genre of music? Mine is Gospel and Classical.
Yeah...so bye.

Re: Music!
Heheh, Tchaikovsky. The second movement really isn't that bad, really... It's only two pages! And it's slow! And pretty!foreverphysics wrote:Try Hebrew Melody. Or the Zigeunerweisen. The third isn't that bad either - yeah it's difficult and kind of bipolar in terms of style and holy **** is it fast, but it's a pigeon of a lot of fun to play, especially some of the sixteenth note licks. To tell the truth, I learned it on a bet that still has not been resolved three years later (and I doubt it ever will be).
And let's not even talk about the first movement...

Re: Music!
What do you think of the Vivaldi Violin Concerto in A Minor: Presto (3rd movement"? I really like it, and I am practicing it right now.

All I hear are these voices in my head
Talking to me as I lie awake in bed
They know this happiness is all for pretend
They know my demons are truly my friends
If they also speak to you, we can join together
With their help and their guidance, we shall live forever
