UPDATE.

It seems the banks are in trouble again.

Bank of America needs more government money to digest its recent acquisition of Merrill Lynch.
Citigroup is basically breaking up.
Morgan Stanley thinks HSBC needs more capitalization and the general view that it is a strong, stable bank is exaggerated.

On the other hand, Obama's trying to pass a $750 million TARP 2.0 in Congress. Timothy Geitner's confirmation may also be delayed until after the inaguration due to missed tax returns and failing to check immigration status of a housekeeper.

thats great. im really kinda freaked that somethings gonna happen at the inaugural, like an assassination attempt or something by a racist pigeon who doesn't like the way his stocks are plummeting :cry:

Also, nothing happened at his acceptance. So with even more people, it is even less likely one person will have much effect since there will also be way more security.
