Re: Scioly Assassination 60: The Lottery
Sorry for the double post, but...
After a short meeting, a small group of us (us being a group of assassinator regulars) decided to create a small, unofficial group to help enforce the "no cheating, no rigging" rule. This group would have no power over the games, only the players who are considered cheating and/or not playing fairly. Any violators would be banned for the following game, the penalty doubling with each successive violation. We all decided that by lying about being the assassinator, quizbowl has violated this rule, and thus should be banned in round #61. Out of the four of us present, it was a unanimous vote. If anyone is opposed to this (quizbowl, sorry but you don't get a say) then please post now.
Let this post be a warning to those intending to lie/disrupt the game again. We do not appreciate this type of activity.

I would like to point out that this was not a unanimous decision.

Re: Scioly Assassination 60: The Lottery

by popular demand, we have decided to scratch that idea and instead make one large rule instead of a committee.
Anyone who is caught cheating or rigging the games will be banned for the next game(s). Each successive time you cheat and/or rig the game, the number of games you are banned for will double.
Does that sound better?

We're working on a resolution. We want to try to avoid a committee that could turn into the second coming of the EOOTA

I'll try to work on the clue tomorrow, but no guarantees...I've been getting a lot of homework lately.

Re: Scioly Assassination 60: The Lottery
The problem with the Eoota was that it governed mostly assassinators behavior, this would JUST be for player's behavior, or EXTREME behavior by the assassinator (I think the only thing like that which would count even remotely was in #50) and JUST for cheating and like situations, not rule situations.zyzzyva98 wrote:We're working on a resolution. Though on second though, maybe a committee is not needed, but how about we just establish a permanent rule that lying in this case automatically gives a 1 game ban?

Also, I'm pretty sure that's how the EOOTA started out. Then we all went on power trips, absolute power corrupts absolutely.
