Off the top of my head, the tornado Super Outbreak in the 1970's. I doubt they'd ask for famous floods though.

April 1974, I forgot the actual date. I don't know any famous floods, so that's good.
Do we need to know how to read/make station models? I know how to, but I'm not very good at them. I believe those would be in the category of Everyday Weather...

You do need to know how to make and interpret weather stations. They are in everyday weather, but if you look at section a. in the rules you will see that most of that is everyday weather.

Oh ok. That makes sense. Does anyone know what a lightning direction finder is?
And if anyone is doing Compute This and Meteorology, is it helping you in both events?

I know, but I'm quite sure that lightning direction finders are not explained in the wiki.
As well as knowing if Compute This helps Meteorology and vice versa.
