I would start with reading the Battery Buggy Wiki

After you read the Wiki, ask some specific questions. Such as how a certain mechanism works; these questions are much easier to answer.

stuck on the turning...two different motors running differently could work, but then you can't really control it...

One of the simplest solutions is to have the axles at different angles.
This is easily achieved with something like this: http://gallery.scioly.org/details.php?image_id=2923
Take a look at the front end of the vehicle. This allows the angle to be adjusted.

Or you could have the vehicle be built in two separate parts, and join them with a bolt in the middle. The bolt is vertical, and both halves are attached on it. This allows you to set the angle of each half (each one has a axle) and tighten the bolt to lock the angle in place.

How do you make the buggy stop at the end of the line? Do we need to buy a brake or senser?

it's like a lever thats on a screw, so when the screw turns the lever moves across it and trigger like a switch to turn it off.
I don't know if there are any others ways, so I'm using this one...

A easy way to do it is to use a microswitch as DS explained in last years thread and in the wiki
