Hm, a bold prediction. How was Kennedy at Churchill?

They beat JT by 30. A score of 71 with three other schools (JT, Kraemer, Churchill) who have been top ten nationals finishers in the last couple years.

I dunno that it's that bold, Kraemer was 6th last year and the SoCal team will improve but it feels like JT this year. Community is supposed to be on the downslope and JT already beat Beckendorff at UTA. Solon could make me wrong, but it just feels like CA's on the up and up competitively. We'll see!

I'm still confident in my kids that they can make it out of states, but I do agree that whichever team makes it out of SoCal will be up there, top 4 or 5.

I'm pulling for Kraemer but from the info I've seen and the info you've given me JT seems in a better position at this point in time. In either case Orange County is taking home two national trophies in May.

Another thing to question is whether Kramer or JT stacked. Although Kraemer's A team got 2nd overall, their B team got 25th. On the other hand, JT had both teams place in top 5, at 3 and 5 for their 1 and 2 teams respectively, so that may indicate that JT isn't showing all of their cards yet.

JT was fully stacked, can confirm that. Their B team is just super boosted this year. We (Kraemer) have had some obstacles, including a not-full B team, but I think it's closing in. I think it's going to be a close game, but whoever gets out is top 5 for sure.

Last year's NorCal State tournament was tight, and Mira Loma barely won it. Mountain View is looking stronger than last year (so far) and Mira Loma is looking weaker, but it is early. Palo Alto (Paly) had a good showing last year at the State tournament, and they would have won the tournament except for two bombed events. The other team that is rising in quality, stocked with Kennedy kids, is Monta Vista.
