I dislike electric salinometers (if people use different salts, it could throw it off!). I'm not using a straw, rather a dropper pipet flipped over with sand in it, and am doing quite well.

I've seen simpson's diversity index, but other than that, it makes adding up the numbers for calculating WQI a lot faster.

Values and graphs should be provided if asked. I don't think I've seen any this year, as it really belongs on a freshwater test...

Yeah, WQI is definitely a freshwater thing and it really shouldn't come up this year, so I wouldn't worry about it. Even last year, it was never a major focus and always relatively self-explanatory to calculate.

With events being repeated for next year, do you think WQ will keep the same coral reef indicator species?

Yes. The way it appears right now, all events will have EXACTLY the same rules.
