According to the rules, fibers, hairs and polymers are out and water testing is in. I can guarantee that there will be water testing at Nationals. Even if you don't do any at state, make sure you know how to use probes with the TI calculators and Vernier software.

All of the invitationals we have been at this year have had hairs and fibers included. I don't think people are looking at the rules very well. Just be prepared to have them all the way up to state. I don't think they will be at nationals though.

The event supervisor for our invitationals is the same one who runs the NYS event and the nationals event. I asked him about whether water testing, hairs, fibers or polymers would be at states or nats and he said water testing would be at nats but fibers, hair, and polymers wont be.

Oh, is it the same guy who did it last year? With the tie-dye lab coat? His events were the best :D

I just got thrown into this event, so just for clarification, I'm wondering...
Do we not only have to explain how we know someone did it, but how we know the others didn't do it?

in order to get more points and/or win a tie-breaker it would be to your benefit to explaine why others didn't do it

Blood type AB contains the A and B proteins and will curdle with both anti-A and anti-B enzymes, while blood type B only contains B proteins and will not curdle with anti-A enzymes, only with anti-B.
