You can practice with 3d printer wheels that mimic the banebots (in diameter, attachment hole, and thickness), assuming you have 3d printing capabilities. Obviously, you would have to do something like use balloons for traction, but it shouldn't be an issue since you can replace with banebots later.

Many libraries offer 3D printing services and charge "per gram" (especially university libraries)

A better alternative might be to go to IGUS. If your coach will fill out the paperwork for their YES program, you can get pillow blocks in a great variety of metric and SAE sizes free for modest quantities. Igus.com should get you there.

3D printers are so expensive though...

They honestly really aren't in this day and age. I bought one for our team last year for just under $200 and have been using it for just about every build event since. Moreover, once you have the printer itself, the filament is dirt cheap. You can get 1kg rolls of it for under $20 and just one of those could last you for a full season of prints. Given that, with some maintenance, a decent printer could last your team for at least a handful of years, I'd call that a very worthwhile investment. Deciding to buy one was one of the best decisions I've made during my time on Scioly.

Yeah, there’s some just under 200 as well. But I always thought most were like $500+ until now.
