I wasn't going to bother since I would have to re-do it after the rollover and I'm probably not going to be that active during the summer. Any guesses? I don't need the technical terminology, but that would be helpful to your studies.

Glaciers form when enough snow accumulates so that it is compressed into ice.

Something along the lines of this:
A glacier forms when the annual snowfall rate exceeds the rate of ablation.

I believe that you are looking for this, though: Glaciers flow downhill because of gravity and the internal deformation of the ice.
