Sure thing - I think that would be a good idea. Just in case if East is actually a target.Cherrie_Lan wrote:Should I just protect you instead?dragonfruit35 wrote:"Sassied" is a nice verbJasperKota wrote:dragonfruit, SOnerd, and I sassied an assassination game around Harry Potter where quidditch was mentioned in a couple clues. Yeah, I agree. I also don't have much to do with Utah but we can't afford to lose more officers... if no one else comes on am I alllowed to take back my protect (since East is unlikely)?

Re: SciOly Assassination 114: The Amazing Race Death Edition
Welcome back. The travelers head forth into the Great Salt Lake, and a certain adventurer tried to drink the salty water, never realizing what could hit them. I tried to take advantage by pushing the head into the water. However, one person decided to smash a clock against my head to stop me. Fortunately (and unfortunately for all of you) I was ok, but I decided it was not worth it to pursue the matter further.
EastStroudsburg13 has almost died of….just kidding! PandaWeasley has been saved from drowning.
Texas has earned an accusation. Use it wisely.
As they leave the salty environment (thank you evaporation and condensation!), they receive a note from Roy Hofheinz (who is this guy?) that reads:
Enjoy wonderful fake grass with black beads that’ll annoy your feet.

This clue points towards Adi1008 most likely because Roy Hofheinz is from Houston and the fake grass with black beads is astroturf. Idk what the $35,000,000 or the numbers have to do with anything though.Assassinator wrote:Welcome back. 1965-04-09 is a date- April 9th, 1965; it's when the first game at the Astrodome occurred, where Houston beat the Yankees 2-1 and Mickey Mantle scored his 1st indoor home run. $35 million dollars is how much it cost to build the Astrodome back then ($266 million in 2016 dollars).maxxxxx wrote:This clue points towards Adi1008 most likely because Roy Hofheinz is from Houston and the fake grass with black beads is astroturf. I protect Adi1008 based on the reasoning above.
EDIT: I also think lumosityfan, pikachu4919, and I should be protected, just in case. Lumo is an Astros fan, pika used to live in Houston, and I live in Houston.

Re: SciOly Assassination 114: The Amazing Race Death Edition
My parents live there right now and I go there every time I go home to them, so while I live in Indiana most of the time, living in Houston isn't a thing of the past for me.texas wrote:1965-04-09 is a date- April 9th, 1965; it's when the first game at the Astrodome occurred, where Houston beat the Yankees 2-1 and Mickey Mantle scored his 1st indoor home run. $35 million dollars is how much it cost to build the Astrodome back then ($266 million in 2016 dollars).maxxxxx wrote:This clue points towards Adi1008 most likely because Roy Hofheinz is from Houston and the fake grass with black beads is astroturf. As the previous game's sassy I also told this sassy that they would feel my wrath if I got targeted and/or killed, but we should see if the sassy is willing to take that chance...

I protect lumosityfan for the above reasoning and for the additional note.texas wrote:1965-04-09 is a date- April 9th, 1965; it's when the first game at the Astrodome occurred, where Houston beat the Yankees 2-1 and Mickey Mantle scored his 1st indoor home run. $35 million dollars is how much it cost to build the Astrodome back then ($266 million in 2016 dollars).maxxxxx wrote:This clue points towards Adi1008 most likely because Roy Hofheinz is from Houston and the fake grass with black beads is astroturf. Can we think about this in terms of ID? Is there anyone who is known to post a lot about baseball and would think of things this obscure? I guess there could be a lot of people, but it's still a start...
