yeh, it says in the rules that they will collect your notes sheet after the test. they didn't do it at invitationals, for which i was most grateful, but they have to do it at everywhere else. (bad grammar i know) it ticks me off too, your not alone :x

Ah well :-( Next time I'll remember to photocopy it beforehand so I just have to re-copy it, not completely redo it.

yeh, tht usually works. i hate that they have to be handwritten, tho, it would be so much easier to just keep a copy on the computer and print out a new one, and add notes in word or something.

Yeah :-( They just don't want you photocopying someone else's notes, I guess, but it's still pretty stupid that you have to handwrite it all.

Phenylethylamine wrote:At my Regionals, there were some mixtures with the powder unknowns, as expected- but they didn't tell us which ones were mixtures (I'm almost 100% certain it says in the rules that they're supposed to tell you that...) and so I didn't realize that one of them was sugar and salt... I put just sugar >.<

Also, they collected our notes sheets after the event, with no intention of returning them... has anyone else had them collected? I'm pretty annoyed by the prospect of having to rewrite it all for States, even though I barely looked at it and didn't need it that much... I'm still going to have to redo the whole thing with all that info, just in case (the only powders at our regionals were sugar, salt, flour, corn starch, baking soda, and alka seltzer. Of course I didn't need my notes sheet. If there were more difficult things to identify, I might rely on it a little more lol).
They never collected our note sheet
