When you realize that despite no longer competing you still have the state SO page pinned on your home screen (and SciOly.org of course).

If you're no longer competing and you aren't planning on reforming your team, you should really try and get into event supervising.Panda Weasley wrote:When you realize that despite no longer competing you still have the state SO page pinned on your home screen (and SciOly.org of course).

I am definitely thinking of it. I haven't had time to figure out if there are any requirements or what that process is like. It's on my list of things to do over winter break.Unome wrote:If you're no longer competing and you aren't planning on reforming your team, you should really try and get into event supervising.Panda Weasley wrote:When you realize that despite no longer competing you still have the state SO page pinned on your home screen (and SciOly.org of course).

When you can do the Cell Cycle unit in AP Bio from memory even though it's been three years since Heredity was an event.

You think of ways to apply what you've learned in college astro class to your scioly test DURING CLASS.

Similarly, when you pause for a second and find yourself typing scioly.org in the address bar of your web browser. Known as the Scioly.org reflex, and there is no known cure, it only gets worse.Unome wrote:When typing in "s" autofills to scioly.org...

1. You get excited when your chem teacher announces "today's lab is chromatography".
2. You go into autopilot and draw a line rather than the teacher's preferred dot and confuse your table mates.
3. You enthusiastically answer teacher's question about how chromatography can be used in crime scenes then awkwardly taper off when you realize aforementioned enthusiasm and that no one can understand you because you are talking too fast.
4. You get a strange look from classmate standing next to you when you state that you collect interesting chromatograms.
5. You collect chromatograms.
6. You turn down the offer of a black vis-a-vis chromatogram because you already have several better ones.
7. You get a little disappointed when a classmate decides to keep his awesome chromatogram.
I'm sane! I swear!

When you've memorized where every single room, the caf, the gym, and every statue and mosaic is in the places where your team regularly competes in, and know where all the good hideout spots, food, and fun-areas are on campus.
