The field is a bit smaller, otherwise pretty much the same.
Oh... That's a relief :)
I was calculating that in order to build a typical servo-style robot arm you would need over 1500 oz.in of torque at the shoulder, which is only possible if you want to buy a thousand dollar servo :o

I hope Picture This makes a comeback, too. At an invitational last (2010-2011) year, Picture This was a trial event and the two people running it said it would be an event next year. Is that true? Hope so...

Picture This will not be an official, national event this coming year (however invitationals, regionals and states might run it on their own accord)

I think this is the official 2012 event list, though it appears to be the same as the tentative
Though there are now short descriptions posted as well

Huh, it says that the topic for Remote Sensing is "Human Impact on Earth", not the Hydropshere...yet the PDF link next to the chart still says "Human impact."..

It was mentioned in the Remote Sensing thread that this is a typo. Hydrosphere is still a go.

It appears that the event description wasn't changed also, but it's not like it really matters.

We've heard this before... but just remember that it counts the same on the scoresheet, so whether you like it or not, it could still make the difference.
