So I think I might have come up with a general theory of sorts???
If you're using your freedom of _____ to take away someone else's freedom of _____ it's not freedom
What are freedoms anyways?
Whenever we sign contracts, or click "accept terms of usage", we (most times) sign away our freedoms unwittingly - and don't notice until it's too late.
Further, most of us give up freedoms anyways in order to please people or not anger them.
In the modern world, it's impossible to not give up freedoms, both willingly and unwillingly.
(also "freedoms" don't even really exist in wartimes or other like periods)

I mean it definitely wasn't the best course of action,
but given the circumstances, I can understand why she did it
(still not a justification)

I found the muttering to herself throughout the speech quite funny as well...

Which is ultimately the important part of the SOTU - to put on a show for the masses. If it was actually meant to provide information there would be no need for a speech - it would be delivered in writing, as was done for the first half of US history.

Trump declined both her and mike pence a handshake and she didn't address him properly. "He shredded the truth, so I shredded the speech"
