Prepare a lunch and carry it with you, eat it between your two closest events. That's what I did at MIT; I ate between my last two events because the rooms were just down the hall and one floor distant.kenniky wrote:No time to eat lunch and I have events straight from 10:45 to 3:30 FeelsBadManUnome wrote:Schedules posted (with room numbers)

I'm sorry, but at what time does your school start A Lunch? Just eating lunch before 10:45 doesn't seem that outrageous...kenniky wrote:No time to eat lunch and I have events straight from 10:45 to 3:30 FeelsBadManUnome wrote:Schedules posted (with room numbers)

Re: 2017 National Tournament: Wright State University
What's the best way to transport builds to nationals from far away? usually we ship our stuff, but we need to ship like 35 lbs of counterweights for Robot Arm which is not fun for our wallets... also Towers/Helicopters are bad to ship, but last year TSA officials got rough and made our Wright Stuff break. We're considering a bus but the drive is like 12 hours :/ thoughts?

Sometimes we have a coach rent a van and then drive all of our stuff to nationalskenniky wrote:What's the best way to transport builds to nationals from far away? usually we ship our stuff, but we need to ship like 35 lbs of counterweights for Robot Arm which is not fun for our wallets... also Towers/Helicopters are bad to ship, but last year TSA officials got rough and made our Wright Stuff break. Bite the bullet and take the bus. 12 hours is honestly not that bad, and it's the cheapest (I think?) and least dangerous way to transport your stuffkenniky wrote:What's the best way to transport builds to nationals from far away? usually we ship our stuff, but we need to ship like 35 lbs of counterweights for Robot Arm which is not fun for our wallets... also Towers/Helicopters are bad to ship, but last year TSA officials got rough and made our Wright Stuff break. Yeah I'd also recommend the bus. 12 hours isn't much of a trip, especially compared to how far many teams regularly drive (the trip to Nebraska was 15 hours plus ~3 more for stops along the way).4Head wrote:Bite the bullet and take the bus. Re: 2017 National Tournament: Wright State University
If you have the funds (which, considering you normally fly you probably should) get a fancier bus with air conditioning, ac outlets, wifi, bathroom, etc. Makes long bus rides much easier on the team.Unome wrote:Yeah I'd also recommend the bus. 12 hours isn't much of a trip, especially compared to how far many teams regularly drive (the trip to Nebraska was 15 hours plus ~3 more for stops along the way).4Head wrote:Bite the bullet and take the bus.
