We have a general policy at Nationals of not posting all the raw data. Some is released as part of the Test Packets available in the soinc.org store though.
What kind of data is included in the test packet? Is it mean, median, range, etc., or raw scores of the top six teams?
It depends on the event. Academic only events will have the exam and key included with no raw scores or ranks. Lab based (such as wind power) will usually have raw build scores and test scores. Build only will have raw scores. Keep in mind, this is only what it has been in the past and does not dictate what it will be in the future.
When will the test packet usually release?

Usually when the rules come out for next year.

Hello Chalker,
I got 7th place in Game On, and I would like to know how close I was to getting 1st place and how close I was to medalling.

Sorry for bothering chalker, but I got first in disease detectives and would like to know how many points the second place finisher was behind. Also I was wondering how many points I was away from medaling in road scholar which I got 11th in.

Additionally, (this is kinda random) do you guys think one could email the proctors and ask them if we could see what we missed? There were some really interesting problems that even after a couple of days of researching them, I'm not quite sure what the answer should be
1st was 77 and 6th was 63. The proctors might not have the exams / answer keys anymore. The vast majority are turned into the national office who files them away for a while.
Thank you for the scores and information!! Also, sorry for starting a chain of people asking for scores from you heh :P

Hey Chalker,

For division C Dynamic Planet and Geomapping, we got 6th and 3rd respectively. How close were we to winning gold? Thanks for posting about scores!

Hi, my team got 10th in Disease Detectives B and 16th in Crave the Wave. Could you tell me how close we were to getting a medal in these events?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering why everyone needs to know very much what scores they got (I know this is a bit late...but this was supposed to be to discuss tests not ask for scores >.<)? To specify, I think wanting to know typical stats (mean, median, mode, max, min) is fair, but why the need to know all the specific scores if the competition is done and scores aren't supposed to be released? And yes, I competed too, but I feel like knowing I was 1 point or 50 points away from a medal never made too much of a difference to me in scioly because I felt like typically people can guess the gist on scores just from asking around. I imagine it's not to complain to change scores because the tourny is done, so is it literally just curiosity because scores are a major motivator for most people? But I feel like (please forgive this might be corny) scioly purposefully doesn't release scores to be different on that exact point...
