Yeah, I see there have been issues, but I thought the mod for that said you two would email directly and get it figured out? I will go check with him just in case, though.

Draft Rules are given to coaches attending the Science Olympiad Summer Institute from July 13-17 (it's probably sold out by now), and the final Rules Manual comes out in the first few days of September. A tentative events list can be found here.

I could make a test or notes for forensics! I understand that they have to be hand-made, but are we allowed to use images found online? It'd be difficult to find microscopic hair and fiber samples... If we can, do we need a citation/reference for it? Just want to clarify before I get to work!

You may use images found online. Citations are not necessary. We'd love to see a set of notes for Forensics!

Physics is difficult for 99% of the world's population because they don't understand it. The other 1% know too much.

Now that I've been given access to the notes and tests, I'm dissapointed in the low number notes. Notes are both more rewarding (bc you have to know everything to write 7,500 words) and helpful (bc you teach other people all of the stuff you put effort into making) than tests!

Also, the SSSS forums thing isn't showing up for me... :?

Yeah, but it's hard because 1) some of us don't have time to write practically a lit review this summer and 2) some teams would prefer that we do not share everything we know, which can be difficult for passionate competitors.

Outside the bit on notes that samlan explained, you also mentioned the forum for SSSS. I don't think people have been really using it. I actually do have it up for me, but I think that's from an old year ;P. I cannot remember if it was even used a lot anyway, so I didn't feel like spending as much time getting robot to get that up as much as getting up the thing we use for notes/tests uploading. I do notice SSSS stuff has seemed to die down a bit relative to the first few weeks of hype (I think I can call it that with the bunch of submissions we got at first). This includes many that have not responded/resubmitted to our reminders (or maybe some mods are forgetting to send out reminders/check stuff?). In any case, yeah, people I presume get busy. Hope everyone is at least having fun doing whatever they are doing!

Heh, last year I was accepted only a few days before the end, iirc. I wasn't even given the perms.
