Dynamic Planet is definitely the easiest event because you get 4 pages of notes which is really helpful and you only need to know the basics and how they are formed and why....then the rest can be on your cheat sheet.
2014 Events (Muscatel/Mesa Robles/Regionals/State)
Dynamic planet-(1st/4th/1st/9th)
Can't Judge a Powder-(2nd/8th/1st/5th)
Helicopters- (8th/7th/10th/19th)
Crime Busters-(X/11th/2nd/3rd)
Team-(6th/7th/1st!!!/5th)

Exactly how?! I mean, you guys get to take in FOUR PAGES to the event! There must be sooo much information to learn for that event.I think the 4 pgs is just a quirky rule
I actually don't really end up referring much to the four pages. In my opinion, there should really only be one. There's not much you have to know really besides glacial erosional and depositional landforms, causes of climate change, structure of glaciers and how they flow, periglacial landforms...
Okay, maybe there is a lot
WLI Regionals 2014:
Disease Detectives- 1st
Dynamic Planet (Glaciers)- 1st
NY States 2014:
Crime Busters- 5th
Disease Detectives- 8th...
Dynamic Planet (Glaciers)- 3rd
Robo Cross- 2nd
Proud to be the awkward impromptu third captain but not really of CP WEBER SCIOLYY

1) rotor egg drop. I built ONE rotor this year to demonstrate how to build a rotor to a new team member. I had him do the calculations and help me make the frame. he never showed up again to see it finished, but it has been placing very well and will be the rotor we take to nats. I don't know why, but we have yet to build a better one. Sometimes building a good rotor just takes a little luck I guess.
2) shock value. I spend a good chunk of my free time doing electronics and have mostly functioning lab in my basement with fume extractors, and oscilloscope, etc. I never have to study, (with the exeption of magnetism and some other stuff) I have learned everything I know through experience.

Bridge Building came easy to me, probably because my dad was using truss analysis and graphs to determine what wood sizes to use.

Triple E, Texas Edition. All you had to do was put the info onto your 25 notecards, review you ID a bit and you're set.

I would say that Meteorology is definitely an easier event.
2016: CVMC/CV Invite/Mesa Robles/Reg/State
ExpD: 1/1/1/1/9
Foss: 3/1/8/4/1
Green Gen: 2/1/4/1/7
Met: 2/2/3/8/4
the dipstick is an intricate device used to measure the amount of rain in a rain gauge. it can also be used as a derogatory term for your meteorology partners

I'll echo others and say that Road Scholar is really easy if you have all of the symbols and know the notations.
