Right now, EFO is the only living person in the Sassy's signature with an abbreviated ("shortchanged") name, so I think EFO would be worth a protect based on this clue.Assassinator wrote:3. They’re getting shortchanged.

Then spell it correctly, would you?quadratic wrote:scioly assasination is better
Anyway,
Z (1), EFO (3), and quadratic (4) have been protected so far.Assassinator wrote:1. He ruins his nick. So nice and pretty, perfectly legible…and then BAM! right in the face.
2. Both old and new, this victim is perfectly balanced. I like that.
3. They’re getting shortchanged.
4. I was not planning on killing them. I guess you could say it was murder in the 2nd degree.
5. This accent {or dialect, I won’t be picky} almost made Joseph incomprehensible. I didn’t understand him until I saw the solution to the clue.
You have one week.
At first glance I believe clue 5 to be referring to Joseph as a Biblical person/character/what are people from the Bible called? - anyway, that. There was also something about misunderstandings and Babel, no? (Of course, I could be completely wrong.)

Re: Scioly Assassination 77: Coup d'état
People from the bible are...Middle-Eastern? I think it takes place in that part of the world. (However, my first thought was of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat. And of Joseph McCarthy and the communist "witch hunts" of the '50s.)
Random thoughts:
I'm pretty sure 4 is right; quadratics are 2nd degree polynomials and I dunno what else it could refer to.
1 might have something to do with writing? Legible...
2: Balanced...yin and yang?
3: Shortchanged...could refer to an abbrev or maybe someone who didn't get something they deserved?
Edit: From what I know (likely to be a little off, I've never been to church and am not remotely religious), the tower of Babel was well, a tower. Before it was built, everyone could understand each other and assumedly spoke the same language. But then God got mad at the humans for building the tower for some reason and they all started babbling (pun fully intended) in different languages.
Edit: Rule #7, I know, but this has context.
Edit: Hang on, Babel = Babel fish? (H2G2 reference
)

Re: Scioly Assassination 77: Coup d'état
I think that's right. And isn't the Joseph of the Technicolour (so British) Dreamcoat from the Bible? He had a bunch of brothers. Or, uh, something. And they didn't like him. Isn't that Biblical?AlphaTauri wrote:People from the bible are...Middle-Eastern? I think it takes place in that part of the world. Speaking as someone who went to 3 years or more of Sunday school (AlphaTauri wrote:From what I know (likely to be a little off, I've never been to church and am not remotely religious), the tower of Babel was well, a tower. EDIT: I think I remember the story - Joseph was favored by his father so heavily that his other brothers grew to hate him, and tried to kill him, so he ran away and got an excellent government job in Egypt? (Wait, but where does the coat come in? Frick, I probably don't actually remember this story.)
EDIT2: Um, excuse the first edit. It's 1:30 AM where I am and I'm tired (gasp! Koko tired at only 1:30 AM? I know, I know).
