Put the year!!! And make sure you do the graphical problem first, unless you can't! It really helps. Guess if necessary, don't forget URLS! In the graph make sure you have a title: Who, What, Where and When! Use the find tool! (Control+F) Use specific wording when searching ex: What is the mental being of a person with the disease? Use the find and put in MENTAL! Hope this helps
Thank you for the information.

Does anyone know which types of software we're going to use for Nationals? Will they post it on the website or send the info to coaches?

I don't know if this is the same as software but I'm pretty sure we get a choice between a Mac or a PC.:P

As to software, you should be using Microsoft Excel, right?

And I have no idea about Mac vs. PC, or even Linux :P (I don't think they'll make you use that...)

When I did the event at regionals, putting the year range in actually provided a huge setback. The year range was somehting like 2002-2010. So, that was included in all of my search terms. After wasting at least 10 minutes searching, I finally took the year range out, and found what I was looking for. The year range for the CDC webpage was something like 1991-2010, so even though I only needed data from the year range on the sheet, including that in the search terms meant I couldn't find what I was looking for. However, I realize that some event supervisors will ask for the full year range provided on the CDC site, so I'd recommend searching once or twice with the year range, then take it out. :)

By the type of software, I meant the version (year) of Word/Excel, and I.E./Firefox/Chrome. It says in the rules manual that the tournament director should post the info at least 30 days before the competition.

I sent in a clarification yesterday. I think last year they posted it around this time but I wasn't on the event so I'm not sure.
I think they'll have 07 hopefully...maybe not 10 but at least 07.

Oh no...if we can't use a Mac or Excel 10..............I'm not sure how similar 07 and 10 are to each other but if they're a lot different....we're screwed. We've been practicing and gotten so familiar with Excel 10

Excel 07 & Excel 10 are very similar. The main difference is the print functions, but graphing, data table & calcs are all similar.

Paste functions are also different. You really have to watch the "auto-fill" paste in Excel '10. It can mess you up.
