Has anyone found a really fast way to calculate angles for the laser shoot? I've been trying to find a good formula that will be easy to measure, but it hasn't worked so far.

hm, I haven't got a copy of the rules, and since our team isn't officially registered yet, I think I'll order my own...
anyhow, just for a clarification, isn't there like an obstacle too for division B?

Yeah, there is. You have one obstacle for B, the option of using up to 4 mirrors, and you have four minutes to do it. This year, time doesn't factor into scoring. All you need to do is finish setting up within four minutes.

actually it's 5 mirrors, 4 minutes.
B has one obstacle, C has 3
Points for distance from the target and # of mirrors
Target is always somewhere on the back wall (opposite the laser)

@foreverphysics Templates are likely fastest. I'm not a huge fan of them, but they get the job done.

Some words of advice: templates are going to be much harder to utilize effectively this year. With the barrier(s) and variable target position, there are a lot of factors to take into account.

And since time is not a factor in score like it was last year, there is no reason not to just take the full 4 minutes.

I didn't get the rules...but time isn't a factor? they've been making a ton of changes to the LSS over the summer...
EDIT: and thanks forever and wiseguy for the update

Time is no longer a factor (Though you still have a limit)
The factors will be accuracy, as always, and the number of mirrors you use (you now have the option of using however many mirrors you want up to five)
EDIT: C is five. I think B is too, but I'm not certain.
