I randomly go about identifying birds, trees and bugs (Over on that flagpole in front of us, there's a Say's Phoebe; it's right by that American Larch in front of the Cedar, and hiding around the wild mustard are a million bumblebees.)

Also, I know approximately 91 U.S. Senators, so whatever.

hm, im learning forestry and R&M next year, so i will probably be identifying the trees and birds and rocks and minerals, most likely i will never do entomology though...*shudder*

no...there is entomology, which is in the 4 rotation cycle for ornithology....i think..

I asked my swim coach today whether it was my infraspinatus muscle that was so sore from the push-ups that I couldn't even lift it up...they looked at me weirdly :D .
Regionals: 1st place Crime, 1st place Anatomy, 3rd place Experimental Design.
States: 1st Place Anatomy, 2nd Place Experimental Design, 6th Place Crime, 26th Place Powders *wince*
Nationals: 4th place Anatomy, 4th place Crime, 30th Powders *wince again*
Overall team ranking: 7th

I just spent the last 2 and a half hours of my life watching the Scripps national spelling bee and trying to spell the words (and failing).

...This is an annual tradition.

I use the Pythagorean Theorem to solve problems in math class even though it is part of the curriculum of the grade two years ahead (and I don't get why). I wonder why the state thinks it's so hard.

Omfg I learned that in elementary school (though I am in the gifted class :))
