Max rubber weight aside, how long do you guys cut the rubber to get the most useful winds out of it? Exactly to the rear hook, shorter, or longer?

During practice with the helicopter we always have at least one that decides to snap on us we soak it and usually for the first test it works but then the second test causes problems. Also we only get about 600 turns on it, what should we do to increase it.

Which of these three rubber band dimensions would be the most beneficial to use for our helicopter?

.0624" thick

.0938" thick

.125" thick

???

Thanks!

Hey,

When I wind, I still have a significant amount of winds on my rubber band left. About how many do you guys normally have left? (Ex. Mine is about 50% of winds). I am double-looping my band, and winding about 650 times--the equivalent of 1300 winds single looped, and it is 3/32". I think it's because my helicopter is heavy (6 g) and the blades are slightly smaller than 40 cm.

Also, what do you guys think of double-looping my rubber bands?

Double-looping is a great way to gain more power out of a thinner rubber band. Especially with a 2gm loop of rubber. You can either double-loop thin rubber, or use a thicker rubberband.

I bought some armor-all yesterday at homedepot
to apply it, i spray it in a bag and put the rubber motor inside?
do i do this right before using rubberband?
or do i do it prior?
does it need to dry off?
this is my firstyear doing this, and my regionals is in two weeks, so i'm not sure how to use it
thankss
