that. where they can move the orientation of events around to accomodate all teams.
Tell me about it. I just looked at the tentative Nats schedule, and I'm hoping it really is "tentative" and gets switched around a lot, because currently my two events (Protein and Experimental) conflict for every single team number. Why does it always seem that when I have five events, none of them conflict, but when I only have two, they schedule them at the same time?
Do events ever conflict for certain teams and not for others?

yes. i checked around and saw that my team was the only one that had both dynamic planet and eco at the same time, as well as physics lab i believe (not sure bout physics lab) we had completely switch around our team. however there are some conflicts that all teams face like orni vs fossils.
primate, which school are you from?

I'm from Brighton, so the Midwestern division. I didn't check the regional/state schedules
too thoroughly, but it seemed like all groups had the same conflicts. Guess not.

it looks like there is now a huge change for states:
Newyorkscioly wrote:Coaches: Sign-ups for the walk-in events at this year's State Tournament will be done on-line. The sign-up page will open starting at 8:00 PM on February 20th and will close at 8:00 PM on March 4th. Any team that has been invited to participate in the 2011 C Division State Tournament that has not submitted an on-line signup for the walk-in events will have to select from the remaining times at registration on March 18th at West Point. The packet you receive at your Regional Tournament will contain the user name and password needed to gain access to the sign-up page.

Sounds like they're taking the idea from last year's Nationals. I think it worked pretty well there, so it should be okay.

On-line sign ups should work fine. I'm surprised they haven't done that yet.
Also, I'm mad because the state schedule has once again made fossils and birds at the same time for every team.

Wow, you're right. That's kind of frustrating. Maybe it was our regionals schedule that worked out perfectly.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but where are you seeing the states schedule? It's not on the New York website.

They do it a lot in Ohio and it helps out so much to know in advance what your schedule is going to be.
