That's what we've been talking about. They have a misspelling on it, and we are discussing why it's there.

Re: Fossils B/C
another change: if you remember the list of 2009, it was asteroids. last year, it was changed to stelleroids. and now, its back to asteroids.

Re: Fossils B/C
Okay, so some taxonomic changes are there. That helps somewhat.

Re: Fossils B/C
yea, they r really different and FYI the velociraptors in jurassic park were closer to the size of Deinonychus but so many things are not jurassic in those movies why would they want to actually put another jurassic dinosaur...paleonaps95 wrote:Not really, the skulls are quite different. Deinonychus is much larger than the other.quizbowl13 wrote:darn. deinonychus and velociraptor are so dang indistinguishable...besides the claws. and age.
Also, did anyone else hear about this?

Re: Fossils B/C
Um... Velociraptor was late cretaceous... if you mean the title would be more accurate with actual velociraptor.
Well, you're right about the size, to some extent. The length was right for Deinonychus, but they screwed with the dimensions and made them about as tall as Utahraptor.
