I suppose it would work, mixing divisions, try to stick to only sciO team members, though.

Hello everyone. I'm the speaking captain of Waterville's [Maine] Sio Ultimate team. I'm just here to forewarn you that we eat, sleep, and breathe ultimate. We've hit the weight room real hard, gone through extensive ab-workouts, and have run countless miles on the track. With stars like Callum "The Cannon", Colin "The Assassin" and "The Italian Stallion" anything but first place will be a failure.
here are some stats for you guys
Bench press max- 225lbs
Squat max- 400lbs
Forty-yard dash time- 4.6
Mile time- 5:30
The countless hours in the gym will lead us to victory, our school doesn't lose in anything by the way. We dominate. Blood, sweat, and tears are a small price to play for victory
Also my team and I have a few questions...
How will this tournament go? Round Robin or single-elimination?
A timed game? Or to a predetermined score?
thanks!

Welcome to the internet, VLB.
If we get 8 teams, we will attempt single-elimination. If it stays below that number, we'll probably shoot for round robin.
Predetermined score. Probably 8-12ish, somewhere in that range depending on how many teams we have.
Now, back to the gym!

Im pretty sure if there only like 10 teams, that Round Robin would be a possibility, but with 15+, that'd be hard with the time.

We are alumni (currently college students) and by the sound of Maine's confidence, it could be an intriguing match if coaches are allowed to play.
btw, cleats or no cleats? i think that needs to be predetermined.

I think there may be an alumni team, but I'm unsure whether they will be part of the main tournament or play the winner or just be there for scrimages.

No cleats. I would assume the majority of people are going to be there for for scio...
The alumni team I have talked to won't get in in time for the actual matches, we'll see about later pickups depending on when they get in.

You can count Beckendorff in for Division B. I'll also send an email, though

Sure, was just kidding and to make sure those Maine boys don't take it too seriously and bring cleats. To be honest, I'm the only assistant with much experience in ultimate so it wouldn't make much difference if we coaches joined in, which we may need for full team(s). It's kinda sad how there might be more interest/skill on the middle school team here.
I'll work on the teams here and will email once it's settled.

Don't worry about the maine team, I've got them under control.
