This looks like... something with numbers. That pattern is just a repeated .-.-.- with spaces, so when you turn the number of patterns between each slash into actual numbers, it looks like:

I looked up the Percy Jackson Fandom subforum to see if notable people were in it.
Low and behold RayTay, MadCow, linzhiyan, and MissAmargasaurus make up a large number of the posts.
MissAmargasaurus has a purple avatar that looks kinda like . I think it's just a coincidence, but I'm just putting it out there. I'd also like to bet that one of these people is the target, seeing how RayTay and MadCow are pretty active in the assasination games.

May be a long shot, but perhaps the numbers stand for parts of words from the sassy's letter? Also, does anyone think that the bird could stand for something (as in events)?

I'd bet the sassy is likely in ornithology, and is from the gulf coast region. That's what the last clue seemed to point to.

I was confused by that as well. Maybe the sassy’s someone I talk with a lot? Perhaps someone from IRC? I have a few ideas, but I’m going to wait for more ID clues before I reveal any of them.
