Someone asked if Kennedy was any good... well they got first at Lisle regionals last year, we (Mccracken) got second... so I guess they're good haha. I'm super worried about regionals though! Last year the team was 11 eighth graders and only 4 seventh graders (me being one of them) and no sixth graders, so this year there are only 4 returning members! AHHHH!! But luckily we're at the Lisle regionals again this year, and last year they were pretty easy... but still! A lot of our strongest events are now our weakest because the people on them have never done them before.
Also, do you know that guy who always does Disease Detectives at State? He's so scary! But he's written the past 2 tests so I know his style pretty well (well enough to get 1st at state) CREEPER!

I just wanted to wish luck to everyone at College of Lake County and DuPage Regionals Saturday!

I'll be in Division C, Jv, at College of Lake County. I'm spending the night with some of my teammates. We are doing last minute cramming and Mission Possible changes, and painting our faces (with facepaint and washable marker, whichever we can get our hands on

). I wasn't sure I was going to get on tomorrow, so I wanted to wish everyone luck tonight.

Stevenson took first, of course. Crystal Lake Central and South are going to state as well. I missed the other two, but I think they were Grayslake Central and possibly Buffalo Grove. In JV, Stevenson took first, South got second, and Central took third and fourth (they have 2 JV teams). Crystal Lake South won the Spirit Award, which we were quite thrilled about. I got 1st and 2nd place medals in all my events, and I think everyone on my team got medals. Pretty exciting.
In B division, Daniel Wright took top honors. Other random schools going to state are Pope John XXIII, Our Lady of Perpetual Help, North Shore County Day School, Hawthorne North (who won division B spirit), Thomas, Grayslake, Aptakisic, and Park View. However, I'm not sure on all of these. If anyone knows and wants to correct me, please do so.

That's pretty much right, I think. I handed out medals at CLC, so I kinda got zoned out during awards.
Div B was...
Daniel Wright took 1st, NSCD took second, Grayslake took fourth, and the other six look good, though I am not completely sure about Aptakisic. Probably more near the bottom of the top 8/9...all I can say is that it was nice to not see South here this year.

Definitely. I wouldn't be competing against them in Div. C, but when you already are pitting middle schoolers against Daniel Wright, it's nice to have to not have to face South.

They're the best Illinois team i've seen this year besides New Trier, but they still don't seem as good as past years' national qualifiers. At loyola, IMSA beat Crystal Lake by only 1 point, and they wern't too far ahead of niles west, hinsdale central, and other teams. And about Naperville, until I hear otherwise I'm going to assume Naperville Central is as good as they've been in past years, which is pretty good.
Stevenson didn't fair too great at the loyola invite, but I guess we can't assume that they had their full varsity team there for comparison.
I guess we'll find out more this weekend, since Naperville Central and IMSA are both at the same regional. Stevenson and Crystal Lake are also going head-to-head at a different regional this saturday. So My prediction may change after this weekend depending on who wins at the COD regional.
Stevenson won 1st at regionals and crystal lake central was 2nd- stevenson had 45 points while crystal lake had 77 points. IMSA is definitely not the best team besides new trier. I have a friend from stevenson who said their entire varsity was "jv" and jv was "varsity" at Loyola because of some accidental screw up and thus their jv team didnt compete against any of the varsity teams there. HOWEVER, after looking at the compiled list of team rankings of varsity and jv placings combined my coach realized that their jv beat out the everyone except New trier. The points total from loyola are as follow: New trier winnetka A: 75 points, Stevenson JV ( actually varsity): 126 points, New Trier Winnetka B: 194, IMSA:208, hinsdale central 214 etc... I really think you guys are underestimating stevenson by alot...

It's really frustrating to want to go to Nationals but you can't because your team has no chance against schools like New Trier and IMSA...
