Not to say I love Brown, but I'll take any extra vote against health care.

Yeah, this is great. Just great. Insurance companies can still discriminate based on pre-existing conditions, and 30 million Americans will still be uninsured.

Re: Politics
Well put. Everyone should have the opportunity to have health care, without having to worry about pre-existing conditions. It's amazing how many people die each year (45000, according to CBS) because they are unable to get insurance.denmarksoccer wrote:Yeah, this is great. Just great. Re: Politics
not to mention the fact that Republicans can now block everything congress tries to do and then come election time say that congress got nothing done "conveniently" forgetting the fact that they blocked a lot of the things that didn't get done

Re: Politics
Not bring back an old topic but, I don't think it's public school students have to hear about it, I mean the same could be said for Evolution. Since they are both theories, and I don't what a person's stance is on this, they should have equal time in being taught so students can make an informed opinion, instead of only being taught that one is correct and the other is necessarily wrong.eyeball138 wrote:Public Schools? Absolutely not. Religious Schools? Well, yes. Students in public school should not have to hear about intelligent design.

Re: Politics
You need to understand the definition of theory better.
Intelligent design is not a theory.
Evolution is science. Intelligent design has no scientific basis whatsoever - it is completely religious. Therefore it doesn't belong in science classes.

Re: Politics
Excuse me? I think I understand the definition of theory just fine, Intelligent design is not completely relgious. There is just as much scientific proof to this theory as there is to Evolution.andrewwski wrote:You need to understand the definition of theory better.

Re: Politics
Think about all the patterns you see in nature. Why does nature always behave like diffusion, going from areas of highest concentration to lowest? This is just one example.
