I actually sent them a reminder yesterday.

On the rules it says that you may bring "the 3 page official national bird list," but the list on the SOinc website is only 2 pages.

I have not recieved the rules yet (on the way), but are we allowed to bring a binder and/or a field guide? That seems to be a big question.

You're allowed one published field guide, the official bird list and 1 2-sided 8.5x11 page of notes(any form, any source) Guides may be tabbed.

Those are the families. The species are in black and belong to the family assigned above them. For example, the Black-bellied Whistling-Duck
(Dendrocygna autumnalis) is in the family of Anatidae and the order of Anseriformes.

and i tried to compare, Audubon and Peterson bird field guides, however, i cant decide which one to get.

does anyone know which would be better to use?

also, are there other field guides which are good?
