According to next year's tentative event schedule, Egg Drop might replace Pentathlon. I had a feeling that Egg Drop would be an event next year.

No trial events in MA division B, only an alternate division which does count to the alternate score

In division C, the trial events for '09 are: Picture This, Evolution, Wind Power, and We've Got Your Number. Rocks and Minerals was ran as one of the 23 events.

What's the "alternate score"?

Lucky! I want Rocks & Minerals back (along with Food Sci  ).

same for the scores as the regulars [like 90, 126, 170] only it's for the alternates and determines who wins the alternate division.

I'm guessing it's the kids that didn't make the regular team.

At our Regionals, each school can have multiple teams, but only one can qualify for States (last year, all four of our teams would have gone to States if they'd been from different schools, and this year, three of our five would have- all five were in the top 10. We only get to send one team to States, though).

My school only has one team. I believe that everyone in my region does as well.
