What happened with Fossils was that the original proctor pulled out on Thursday or something. So then the TX Anatomy proctor had a friend that had a fossils sileshow with questions and pics and stuff, so she printed it out and gave it to someone to proctor for you people who did fossils. >.>

Yeah, WCJH Head Coach is Julia Barta, and if you have a katyisd email, you could easily look her up. xD

Hmmmmmm, 7lakes wanna take a katy student who's willing to compete with them? xD

I think it's ridiculous to think that LASA did not give it their all. That's why they're renown, isn't it?

And Mimsie, if I get my team to do Seven Lakes Olympiad next year, we're not going to be aiming for top 5 at state. We're going to aim to win state and make it to Nationals.
Hey we're all for it if you guys are willing to put in more self-discipline than in Junior High. We just lose most of our members to UIL academics, other electives, and more intensive courses which most of our sciolympians get eaten by with high school, thus resulting in a virtually new team every year. And personal discipline to work is very important since our coaches are not like Mr Lightle. O: They show up to competition and sign us up -no provided place to work. So if you guys can still help and do it, I say go for it. That'd be great for us, but please stick to your decision if you sign up. :)

From what I can gather, they just had a bad day. There was a disaster in write it do it (like 26 or something) and a bottle rocket problem the week before competition which wasn't entirely resolved, and there were quite a few scheduling conflicts that were overlooked so the team was being shuffled around until the day before competition.

38.

Last year we had an almost flawless day at state, and then had several disasters at nationals.
Hopefully this year, they'll have disasters at state (and still survive) and go have a flawless day at nationals.

We definitely gave it our all at state. There were some disappointments in our placings all around, including a 26th in WIDI. For the first time in our history, we had a good day in engineering and a not so good day with our academics. We also had major shufflings on our team in terms of who was doing which event (Tech Trek and Physics Lab weren't decided until late Thursday night), as well as conflicts for some of the primary team members. Just goes to show you things are still unpredictable, and definitely a good reminder for us to be ready for anything.

All of that aside though, congratulations to everyone on a great tournament! It was tons of fun. Cywoods, Beckendorff, and Riverwood, we're looking forward to seeing y'all at nats!
