To add some context to Ento's post, there was recently a bit of a skirmish about certain teams that got out of hand very quickly. We realize that sometimes emotions about one's own team can be very strong, and tensions can get high as competition season progresses, but it is imperative that all users are respectful of each other in order to keep things civil.

We will also add that deliberately inciting a confrontation, or making deliberately inflammatory remarks about other schools or users will NOT be tolerated, and is punishable by board warnings, temporary bans of varying length, or permanent bans, depending on the severity of the offense. We take this very seriously.

Luckily, these incidents don't occur on the forums very often, and we would like to keep it that way. We know that the vast majority of our users are respectful towards each other and the site, and we are deeply appreciative of this. :)

Uh can you tell people to stop insulting fisler then?
You could choose to take higher ground and be respectful regardless of what others say about your school!

We have already done so. Please do not extend the ordeal longer than it needs to be extended.

From Michigan, I can say that this year northville might not be as strong as last year, and Meads mill will most likely maintain or exceed their third place of last year nats. We had an invite in November, and they crushed 16 competitive schools and took medals in every event with almost all three teams. They look to be stronger than ever this year. Northville got 24th out of 40 - underprepared, but they will most likely step up by regionals to regular standards. Bummer we have never beat them at regionals :(

Northville easily won the Westlake invitational. It would be a surprise to see them give up the state champion title.

Yeah, you are right. It was two weeks ago, and they took down Solon. In Northview Sylvania, they were mid-pack but that was a full month and a half ago. Meads mill had a score of 46 pts. and 2nd place had a score of 158...... I compete in the same region as Northville, so RIP me. will be competing against them at Clio this Saturday

Meadsmill is a feeder to northville.
Not so sure about Meads Mill being that much better, since Solon beat them at Westlake (though Solon may just have an unusually exceptional team this year; anyone who was there have a Div B scoresheet?). I guess we'll see next weekend at Wright State.

California has always been a very strong state like Ohio and has teams that could place high in Nationals. In southern California, Division B champion Muscatel has stopped SciOly due to some reasons leaving some very competitive teams working to take Muscatel's spot. This is my prediction for top five at states. The invitationals so far have shown that Jeffery Trail has been winning by mere points at Kraemer Invitational, but Kraemer had second at states last year and has the potential to improve much in a short time.

1. Kraemer

(points will probably be very close to each other Kraemer-Jeffery Trail)

2. Jeffery Trail

3. Mesa Verdae

4. Carmel Valley

5. Oak Valley

Nah. I think Jeffery Trail will get first this year. They beat Kraemer at Ladera and kraemer invitational.

Please keep discussion specific to Southern California in the Southern California 2017 thread. This thread is intended to be about predictions for the entire country, hence why it is in the Nationals forum.
